‘Dream Realised’ Day 2 Served Hundreds at Building Expo 2025

August 16 2025
The Dream Realised Housing Drive continued today at the International Building Expo 2025, with nearly 200 households receiving Steel and Cement Housing Subsidy vouchers to support the construction of their homes.
Minister of Housing and Water, Collin Croal, along with Permanent Secretary Bishram Kuppen and Director of Operations at the Central Housing and Planning Authority, Denise King-Tudor, led the exercise at the National Stadium in Providence.
In addition to the subsidy programme, more than 750 Certificates of Title and Land Transports were made available for distribution to allottees on-site. Beneficiaries from Two Friends Housing Scheme (Phase 2), East Coast Demerara, also began processing their Agreements of Sale, marking an important milestone in their journey toward receiving official ownership documents.
The combined initiatives are designed to accelerate homeownership across Guyana.
With legal landownership documents that enable access to mortgages, and subsidies that reduce the cost of essential building materials, families are being given the tools to transform their long-held dream of owning a home into reality.
