More than 1,000 house lots were allocated and over 2,100 Certificates of Title were made available during the Ministry of Housing and Water’s three-day “Dream Realised” Housing Drive, held alongside the International Building Expo 2026 at the Guyana National Stadium.

Providing an overview following the conclusion of the event, Minister of Housing, Collin Croal, said the initiative successfully brought essential housing services directly to the public, while the Expo attracted more than 50,000 visitors.

According to the Minister, over 2,100 Certificates of Title were made available for residents of Plantation Vriesland, Laurentia Catherina, Plantation Leonora West, Good Hope and Plantation Lusignan, with more than 50 per cent already uplifted.

He also revealed that just over 1,000 house lots were allocated on the East Coast of Demerara, while more than 700 allottees signed Agreements of Sale for residential lots in Blocks A and B of Vive La Force and De Kinderen, West Coast Demerara.

Additionally, more than 70 steel and cement subsidy vouchers, valued at over $17 million, were distributed to beneficiaries in Region Three.

Minister Croal thanked the Ministry’s staff, volunteers, partner agencies, exhibitors and members of the public for their support, which he said contributed to the success of Building Expo 2026.
