The fourth edition of the One Guyana T10 Tapeball Blast has reached unprecedented heights after the Guyana Lottery Company (GLC), through its flagship sports betting brand Let’s Bet, was unveiled as the tournament’s new title sponsor, signaling a transformative chapter for community cricket in Guyana.

The landmark partnership was officially announced on Sunday evening during a lavish launch ceremony at RS53 Etkezo inside the Amazonia Mall, setting the stage for what organisers expect to be the biggest and richest edition of the championship to date.
The star-studded event attracted Ministers Charles Ramson Jr. and Steven Jacobs, Director of Sport Steve Ninvalle, corporate partners and team representatives, while guests were also treated to the official unveiling of the tournament’s striking new championship trophy—a modern masterpiece blending handcrafted wood with innovative 3D design.
With an anticipated 80 teams preparing to battle for national supremacy, the 2026 tournament boasts a prize structure unlike anything previously seen in Guyanese tapeball cricket, firmly establishing a new benchmark for the sport.
Addressing those in attendance, Guyana Lottery Company General Manager Kalima Ali described the partnership as a natural fit, emphasising the company’s commitment to grassroots sports and community development.
“At the Guyana Lottery Company, through our Let’s Bet brand, we are thrilled to become the title sponsor of the One Guyana T10 Tapeball Blast,” Ali said.
“Tapeball is the bedrock of community cricket in Guyana, and this tournament embodies unity, talent, and sheer excitement. Our investment is a testament to our commitment to sports development and to empowering local athletes across every region by providing them with a grand stage to showcase their skills.”
Tournament Director John Ramsingh welcomed the partnership as a defining moment in the competition’s evolution, noting that it propels the tournament to an entirely new level of professionalism. He also paid tribute to Kares Engineering Inc. for its unwavering support over the past three years, crediting the company with helping establish the tournament as one of Guyana’s premier sporting events.
This year’s tournament introduces a revolutionary prize model that rewards teams throughout every stage of the competition. Unlike traditional knockout tournaments where early elimination often yields nothing, quarter-finalists defeated at the zonal stage will still receive G$25,000, while losing semi-finalists will earn G$50,000.
The rewards increase dramatically as the competition progresses, with losing zonal finalists collecting G$200,000 and each zonal champion banking G$500,000 before advancing to the national playoffs.
The richest rewards, however, await those who conquer the national stage. The 2026 champions will pocket a staggering G$2 million, while the runners-up will receive G$1 million. Both losing semi-finalists will also walk away with G$500,000.
Beyond the lucrative cash incentives, the tournament offers an international pathway, with the top four national finishers earning automatic qualification to represent Guyana at the proposed Global T10 Tapeball Blast, giving local players an opportunity to showcase their talent on a global stage.
