In a heartwarming twist, former player Travis Dowlin announced his comeback as a manager and developmental coach, inspired by his children’s passion for the sport.
GCB President Bissoondyal Singh emphasized the monumental significance of this sponsorship, dubbing the tournament “where stars are born” and a vital showcase for emerging talent. He urged players to bring their heart and respect to the field while rallying fans to support their county teams in this epic battle for the championship title.
The tournament will feature an exhilarating round-robin format, culminating in a high-stakes finals showdown, with all games live-streamed by FL Sports. GCB Operations Manager Anthony D’Andrade highlighted the importance of hosting matches in rural areas like Essequibo to bolster cricket development, aligning with President Irfan Ali’s vision of enhancing the sport within indigenous communities. This season also introduces an exciting bonus points system, adding even more intensity to the competition.
