Two reportedly confess to murder

A blurred image of Benjamin after he was found murdered

Two Timehri residents who were picked up on Wednesday night have reportedly confessed to police detectives that they murdered 24-year-old Raymond Benjamin of House Road Timehri on April 04, 2020.

Benjamin was found sitting motionless in under snackette shed with several stab wounds last Sunday at Timehri, East Bank Demerara.

BIG Smith News Watch has been informed by police sources that the two men who hail from the same community as Benjamin told detectives that a friend went to them and complain about the deceased and they went to confront him but a confrontation ensued and they stabbed him about the body. One of the suspects was arrested in Berbice and the other in Timehri. Police sources indicated that the two suspects are below the ages of thirty.

On the day the body was discovered, the police discovered that the victim received stab wounds to the left side neck and rib area. Benjamin who was identified as an unemployed young man was last seen alive earlier in the morning by his wife Alexis Forde.
