Photographer Diliza David sent to jailed for cybercrime offences

February 4 2025- Photographer Diliza David who operates a photo studio on Prince William Street in Plaisance was on Tuesday February 04, 2024 served with a Statement of Claim (SOC) and a Fix Date Application (FDA).

The SOC amounts to Twenty Million dollars while the FDA amounts to Two Hundred Thousand Dollars.

The documents were filed in the High Court through the attorneys for Journalist Leroy Smith.

The SOC stems from several defamatory messages sent to a Whatsapp Group Chat by David after he was fired from Smith’s employ for poor work performance.

The FDA was filed for equipment which David damaged while being employed by Smith’s company and which he in writing, made a commitment to replace but subsequently refused to honour his own words.

Diliza David in the presence of his mother, was served by a High Court Marshall on Tuesday moments after exiting the Georgetown Magistrates’s Court where he is answering a multiplicity of charges for cyber crime related offences.

Those charges were brought against him in 2024 privately by Smith through his attorneys.
