April 11 2025- A 23-year-old woman has been charged in connection with an alleged wounding incident that occurred earlier this week at Onderneeming Sand Pit, Essequibo Coast.

Trisha Campbelle, an unemployed resident of Onderneeming Sand Pit, was charged with the offence of Unlawful Wounding.

The charge stems from an incident involving 25-year-old Javon John of Red Village, also located in Onderneeming Sand Pit. The alleged incident took place on Tuesday, April 8, 2025.

Campbelle appeared virtually before Her Worship Ms. Tamieka Clarke at the Suddie Magistrate’s Court on Thursday, April 10. The charge was read to her via Zoom, and she was not required to enter a plea.

Bail was granted in the sum of $250,000 GYD, with a condition that the accused must remain at least 50 feet away from the victim while the matter is pending. The case has been adjourned to May 8, 2025.
