Two Charged for the Murder of Faynel Brewster

Two men have been charged in connection with the murder of 24-year-old Faynel Brewster, who was recently killed during a robbery.
The accused, Akande Ross, 25, a machine operator of Herstelling, East Bank Demerara, and Shaquille Wilburg, 29, of Buxton, East Coast Demerara, were arrested on October 20, 2025, and appeared before Principal Magistrate Leron Daly at the Georgetown Magistrates’ today.
They were charged with Murder in the Furtherance of a Robbery and were not required to plead.
Both were remanded to prison.
Meanwhile, Ross and Atelly Gonsalves, 25, of Morocut Square, East La Penitence, were also charged separately with Unlawful Possession of Ammunition without a License.
They appeared before Magistrate Daly and entered not guilty pleas.
Gonsalves was granted bail in the sum of $300,000, while Ross was again remanded to prison.
All matters have been adjourned until November 18, 2025.
