A Tucville, Georgetown man was fined $10,000 after admitting to throwing missiles during a dispute with his former partner, when he appeared before the Georgetown Magistrates’ Courts.

Robert Lewis stood before Magistrate Fabayo Azore to answer to charges of assault, threatening behaviour and throwing missiles arising from an incident at Tucville earlier this month.

However, during the hearing, the virtual complainant, Adaisha Rowland, told the court she did not wish to proceed with the assault and threatening behaviour allegations.

Rowland explained that she and Lewis had previously been in a relationship which has since ended and said she wanted no further interaction with him.

She also indicated plans to apply for a protection order.

The court heard that the incident occurred at Tucville, where Lewis allegedly assaulted Rowland, behaved in a threatening manner and threw objects in her direction.

Magistrate Azore cautioned Lewis to stay away from Rowland entirely, warning him not to approach or engage her under any circumstances, even if she attempts contact.

Lewis was subsequently fined $10,000 for the offence of throwing missiles.
