Tanasha Mayers Tops 2025 NGSA with Perfect Score

Tanasha Mayers of the Academy of Excellence in Region Three has emerged as the top performer at this year’s National Grade Six Assessment (NGSA), achieving a perfect score across all four subject areas.
At a ceremony held today at the Arthur Chung Conference Centre, Minister of Education Priya Manickchand officially announced the top performers of this year’s National Grade Six Assessment (NGSA).
Securing second place was Kalissa Haimpersaud of Huis’t Dieren Primary School in Region Two. With an impressive score of 487 marks, she earned a coveted place at Queen’s College.
Minister of Education Priya Manickchand extended congratulations to all the top performers, noting that Guyana has recorded its highest-ever pass rate at the National Grade Six Assessment.
Top-performing students from each region were also announced:

Region 1: Dravid Stoll of Kamwatta Primary School scored 481.4 marks and will attend The Bishops’ High School.

Region 2: Kalissa Haimpersaud (Huis’t Dieren Primary) scored 487 marks – Queen’s College.

Region 3: Tanasha Mayers (Academy of Excellence) scored 487.88 marks – Queen’s College.

Region 4: Sandhyaa Swammy (Peter’s Hall Primary) earned 486.96 marks – Queen’s College.

Region 5: Safeerah Sheriff (New Sapodilla School of Excellence) scored 486.09 marks – Queen’s College.

Region 6: Adore Barnwell (Skeldon Primary) scored 486.06 marks – Queen’s College.

Region 7: Micaiah Hart (Potaro Primary) scored 481.3 marks – The Bishops’ High School.

Region 8: Pricilla Henry (Micobie Primary School) scored 471.52 marks – Micobie Secondary.

Region 9: Gustavo Abraham (Annai Primary School) scored 481.45 marks – The Bishops’ High School.

Region 10: Fernanda Gomez (Regma Primary) scored 484.31 marks – Queen’s College.
