Sophia Resident Arrested with Unlicensed Firearm, Ammo

Police ranks from the Brickdam Police Station arrested a Sophia resident earlier today, after he was found in possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition.
The suspect, identified as 25-year-old unemployed resident Kyle Small of ‘C’ Field, Sophia, was apprehended around 12:20 hrs during a police response to a domestic violence report in the area.
According to police, Small was seen leaving the yard in a suspicious manner. When stopped and searched, he was reportedly found with a 9mm Taurus pistol and one magazine containing five live rounds concealed in his clothing.
When asked if he was a licensed firearm holder, Small admitted he was not. He was immediately arrested, cautioned, and escorted to the Turkeyen Police Station.
The firearm and ammunition have since been marked, sealed, and lodged for ballistic examination. Small remains in custody as investigations continue.
