Firearm seized following discharge in Buxton

A 9mm pistol and ammunition were recovered early Tuesday morning in Buxton following reports of an alleged firearm discharge in the area.
The weapon, fitted with a magazine containing seven rounds, was found on a 27-year-old miner from Non Pareil. The individual did not hold a firearm licence at the time.
According to a police report, the firearm and ammunition have been secured, and the vehicle associated with the incident is also being held as authorities continue to investigate the matter.
