Ramotar shelters Bhudram as GPF punishes female officer for following court order

The Guyana Police Force is up in arms and has immediately relieved Deputy Superintendent of Police Fiona Harris from her duties as the acting head of Guyana’s Immigration Department.
The removal of Harris is as a direct result of Harris following a court order which allowed the police force to remove from the blacklist at the airport, the name of Adonika Aulder and allowed her to travel out of Guyana.
Aulder is the pregnant wife of Assistant Commissioner of Police Calvin Brutus, against whom SOCU has instituted several financial charges.
BIG Smith News Watch has verified that Commissioner of Police Clifton Hicken is outside its jurisdiction at the moment and has been out for several days. Assistant Commissioner of Police Ravindradat Bhudram is supervising the force.
This publication was also told that Harris did not receive a letter relieving her from duty but received a telephone call from Superintendent Steven Telford who is the substantive Deputy Head of Immigration. At the time of placing the call to Harris to relieve her of duties, Telford was and continues to be out of the jurisdiction.
Deputy Superintendent Harris has also been instructed to report to Assistant Commissioner of Police Ravindradat Bhudram on Monday morning. Bhudram heads the Administration department of the force which is tasked with issuing letters of transfer to police officers and ranks.
Calvin Brutus has accused the state of interfering in the investigation which is being led against him by SOCU. He has also accused and filed court proceedings against several senior police officers within the Guyana Police Force who he claimed carried out certain actions during the course of the investigations which were either unlawful or otherwise.
The head of the Guyana Police Force Corporate Communications Unit Mark Ramotar has been evading questions from the media in relation to the matter. In-fact, he sought to direct all questions to Commissioner of Police Clifton Hicken although he is out of the country and Assistant Commissioner Bhudram is in charge at the moment.
Home Affairs Minister Robeson Benn is on record as stating that he has confidence in himself, completely ignoring questions of if he has confidence in the Guyana Police Force.
