National Footballer Threvon Pluck, 22, is on the brink of a remarkable opportunity that could reshape the trajectory of his burgeoning football career.

Pluck, a standout center-back from Lodge, Georgetown, has been granted three coveted team trials in the Panamanian league. The clubs vying for his talents include Club Deportivo Universitario, Club Deportivo del Este, and CD Plaza Amador.

Pluck quickly made a name for himself as one of the most promising center-backs in his age group. His talent caught the attention of national selectors, leading to his representation of Guyana at the CONCACAF U-20 levels in 2020.

He has since solidified his position as a key player in the national team system, showcasing his skills and dedication on the field.

Currently donning the colors of the Guyana Police Force Football Club, Pluck has become a reliable pillar in the team’s defense. His journey to the Panamanian league trials is not only a personal milestone but a testament to the support system around him.

The Genesis Football Club, under the ownership of Michael Richmond, has played a pivotal role in providing Pluck with this golden opportunity.

Threvon Pluck expressed his gratitude for the chance presented to him and emphasized the significance of this moment in his career.

“This opportunity means more than an experience; it’s a chance to change the landscape of my footballing career,” he said.

Pluck acknowledged the hard work put in by Coach Richmond in securing such opportunities for aspiring players.

Pluck is well aware that the road ahead will demand dedication, perseverance, and hard work, noting that “It’s just up to me now to go and work hard for myself, my family, and Guyana.”

With dreams of making a mark in the Panamanian league, Pluck is determined to capitalize on this chance to elevate his career to new heights.

He is expected to depart Guyana on December 18th to commence his journey.
