-Sent photos of the weapon to his children mother, threatening her.

34-year-old Lewis Court of Line Path Skeldon, Corentyne Berbice, was arrested after an illegal firearm and ammunition were discovered at his home.

At approximately 14:00hrs on Wednesday, officers swooped down on Court at the Regional Democratic Council (RDC) Six, where he works as a driver, and accompanied him to the station, after the mother of his children claimed that Court had threatened to kill her and sent her a photo of a firearm he allegedly owns.

The man informed the police that the weapon was at his home and claimed it was given to him by a friend who left for Suriname.

Court took officers to his home, where in his bedroom, he took out the handgun and five rounds of ammunition and handed it over to the police.

He was arrested and the firearm and ammunition were lodged at the Central Police Station.

Investigations are ongoing.
