Earlier today, between 5:30 and 6:00 a.m., police conducted a ‘cordon and search’ operation at Pouderoyen, West Bank Demerara, resulting in the discovery of 195.9 grams of marijuana.

During the search, officers investigated an abandoned shop on the Tarmac at Pouderoyen. Inside a heap of grass, they found a bulky plastic bag containing leaves, seeds, and stems suspected to be cannabis.

The seized marijuana was taken to the Leonora Police Station, where it was weighed and confirmed to be 195.9 grams. The investigation is ongoing.
