20-Year-Old Charged with Manslaughter in Shooting Death of 18-Year-Old Jared Jagnandan

Deandrell Semple, a 20-year-old resident of Lot 30 Kingelly Village, West Coast Berbice, was formally charged with manslaughter in connection with the shooting death of 18-year-old Jared Jagnandan.

 

The incident occurred on March 21, 2024, at SMK Shaf Auto Sales in Lusignan, East Coast Demerara.

 

Semple was arrested by a Vigilance Police Station officer on the same day as the incident.

 

Appearing at the Vigilance Magistrate’s Court No.1 this morning, Semple stood before Magistrate Fabayo Azore, who read the charge.

 

Semple was not required to enter a plea. Bail was set at $1,000,000, and he was ordered to surrender his passport.

The case has been adjourned to July 8, 2024, for a report and disclosure.
