MV BARIMA DISTRESS: Zeelugt couple who vennds cloths were on board

49-Year- Old Bibi Aklema Mohamed and her husband, 49-year-old Ravindra Mohamed, were among passengers on board the MV Barima, which sank off the coast of Essequibo between July 18 and 19, 2026.
Speaking with BIG Smith News Watch on Sunday morning, Nafeeza Mohamed, a daughter of the couple, said her parents reside in Zeelugt North.
She explained that they are clothes vendors and were heading to the location to sell clothes when tragedy struck. The couple has three children, one of whom is differently abled.
