April 21, 2025 — A fatal accident occurred at approximately 22:00 hrs on Monday evening along the Moblissa Public Road, Soesdyke-Linden Highway, resulting in the death of a motorcyclist and injuries to a minibus driver.
According to a police report, the collision involved three vehicles: a green and silver minibus (registration number BRR 8331) owned by Vibert Amsterdam and driven by 54-year-old Maurice Meredith of Lot 84, 1st Alley, Wismar, Linden; a white motor car (PXX 3747), owned and parked by 53-year-old Alonso Cornelius of Central Amelia’s Ward, Linden; and a motorcycle (CL 7080), owned and driven by 39-year-old Markind Jackson of Silver Hill Village, Soesdyke-Linden Highway.

Both men were transported to the Linden Hospital Complex by a passing vehicle with police escort. Jackson was pronounced dead on arrival, while Meredith was admitted for observation and remains under police guard.
