September 27 2024 – In a gesture of support and commitment, Minister of Natural Resources, has donated a bus to the Guyana Society for the Blind earlier this week.

The bus will assist members of the society with their daily tasks and activities, significantly improving their mobility and independence.

The donation fulfills a promise made by Minister Bharrat and was warmly received during a special event hosted by the society.

At the event, members of the Indo-Caribbean Federation of New York, who are contributing to Guyana through their Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives, were also present.

During the event, Minister Bharrat provided brief remarks, emphasizing the government’s continued commitment to supporting the differently-abled community and enhancing their quality of life.

The gesture is seen as an important step toward improving accessibility and opportunities for members of the Guyana Society for the Blind.
