Linden Teen Sentenced to Two Years for Firearm Possession

Nineteen-year-old Ricardo Simon Paul of Lot 1443 Central Amelia’s Ward, Linden, has been sentenced to two years’ imprisonment after pleading guilty to unlawful possession of a firearm.
Paul was arrested by police on July 29, 2025, and formally charged the following day for being in possession of a firearm without a licence.
He appeared before Magistrate Devendranauth Singh at the Linden Magistrate’s Court on Thursday, where the charge was read to him. Upon entering a guilty plea, Paul was sentenced to 24 months in prison.
The case highlights ongoing efforts by law enforcement to curb the illegal possession and circulation of firearms in the region.
