A 28-year-old contractor from Amelia’s Ward, Linden, has been remanded to prison after being charged with illegal possession of a firearm and ammunition.
Martin Fraser of Castello Avenue, Central Amelia’s Ward, was accused of having an unlicensed firearm and matching rounds in his possession on Monday, December 1, 2025. The charges were laid under Section 16(2)(a) of the Firearm Act, Chapter 16:05.
Fraser appeared before Her Worship Rushelle Liverpool at the Linden Magistrate’s Court on Thursday, December 4, at 10:20 hrs, where the charges were read. He pleaded not guilty to both offences.
Bail was refused, and he was remanded to prison. The case has been adjourned to January 8, 2026.
