In a breathtaking showdown that left fans on the edge of their seats, tournament hosts Bent St A delivered a stunning 4-1 demolition of Back Circle to clinch the prestigious 2nd VP ‘Champion of Champions’ Futsal Cup on Wednesday night at the electrifying Cliff Anderson Sports Hall!

The atmosphere was electric as Bent St A shocked the crowd, striking first in the 11th minute when a defender’s miscue sent the ball careening into the net. The first half, lasting just 20 minutes, was a defensive battle, but the tide turned dramatically in the second half.

Back Circle ignited hope among their supporters with a spectacular equalizer in the 23rd minute, thanks to Ravin Naughton, whose thunderous shot rocketed into the lower left corner. But the celebration was short-lived! Just five minutes later, Bent St A roared back into the lead with Colin Nelson’s opportunistic goal, capitalizing on a slip that left the defense scrambling.

Bevney Marks then took center stage, extending the lead to 3-1 in the 35th minute, skillfully rolling the ball past the onrushing goalkeeper. And in a dramatic finale, Marks sealed the victory in the dying moments with a powerful shot that thundered into the roof of the net for his second goal!

With this spectacular win, Bent St A not only claimed the championship trophy but also walked away with a staggering $1,000,000, while Back Circle settled for $500,000 and a trophy.

In other thrilling action, Team Spirit edged out Bent St B 3-2 in the third-place playoff, earning $300,000 and a trophy, while the losing team took home $200,000 and a trophy. Meanwhile, in the intense U-17 final, Back Circle triumphed over Kingston 4-3 in a nail-biting penalty shootout after a 1-1 draw, receiving $100,000 and a trophy, while Kingston earned $50,000 and a trophy. What a night of unforgettable futsal.
