Leonora Housing Development finalize sale agreement

Allottees of the Plantation Leonora (West) Housing Scheme, West Coast Demerara, recently signed their Agreements of Sale at the Ministry of Housing and Water’s Brickdam office, marking a key step toward home ownership.
Minister of Housing and Water, Hon. Collin Croal, engaged several of the beneficiaries during the ongoing exercise and personally presented Agreements of Sale to a number of recipients. The initiative forms part of the government’s broader housing drive aimed at expanding access to affordable home ownership across the country.
In addition to receiving their Agreements of Sale, allottees are also commencing the process to obtain their Certificates of Title. This step will allow beneficiaries to move closer to securing full legal ownership of their lands.
The exercise is one of several being rolled out nationwide as authorities continue to advance housing development and regularisation efforts in both new and existing communities.
