Kaneville Man Wanted for Murder at Safari Inn Hotel

September 22 2025
Police have launched a massive manhunt after 26-year-old Aleeba Anthony London, a prisoner facing a murder charge in the grisly Safari Inn Hotel killing, escaped from the Friendship Magistrates’ Court lockups today.
BIG Smith News Watch was informed that London, who had appeared in court on the murder matter, managed to slip away from the courthouse, which is located at Friendship, East Bank Demerara. Details of the escape remain unclear, but investigators have since confirmed that he is on the run and a wanted bulletin has been issued.
London, of Lot 74 Second Street, Kaneville, was charged in connection with the August 28, 2025 murder of 40-year-old boat operator, Ryan Fredericks, of Mongrippa Hill, Bartica.
Fredericks met a horrifying end at the Safari Inn Hotel, where he checked into a room with a companion believed to be London. Hours later, Fredericks’ associate, Navindra Kanhai, was jolted awake by desperate knocking on his door. When he opened it, he found Fredericks drenched in blood, clutching a chop wound to his arm, and gasping that he had been “robbed and chopped.” He collapsed in the corridor moments later and died from his injuries.
At first, detectives suspected a woman was involved, but London was later identified and charged. The murder left behind a blood-soaked crime scene, shocking hotel staff and patrons who witnessed Fredericks’ frantic final moments.
Now, with London’s escape from lawful custody, police have intensified their search and are urging the public to report any sightings. He is considered dangerous and should not be approached.
