Housing takes focus at Region 10 outreach

August 4 2026
Housing concerns are being addressed as residents of Region Ten engage the Ministry of Housing during today’s ministerial outreach at the Watooka Guest House in Linden.
Residents are meeting directly with officials from the Central Housing and Planning Authority to raise housing-related concerns, seek updates on ongoing programmes and access information on available government housing initiatives.
The Ministry’s team is being led by Minister of Housing Collin Croal and Permanent Secretary Bishram Kuppen, with Director of Community Development Gladwin Charles, Head of the Corporate Legal Secretariat Haniffah Jordan and other ministry staff also on the ground.
The engagement provides Linden residents with an opportunity to address their housing concerns directly with senior ministry officials and receive guidance on matters relating to housing applications, development and other programmes.
The housing engagement forms part of the wider Region Ten outreach led by Vice President Dr. Bharrat Jagdeo, bringing government agencies directly into the community to address issues raised by residents.
