Alvin Jones

A prisoner who is currently serving a 43-year jail term at the Camp Street Prison was stabbed this morning after he reportedly touched another inmate’s buttocks.

The victim has been identified as Alvin Jones, who was convicted for the murder of amateur footballer Paul Daniels, who was killed during a robbery in 2017.

Speaking with BIG Smith News Watch, Director of Prisons (ag) Nicklon Elliot said that Jones touched an inmate’s buttocks last evening.

He said that as a result, other prisoners started to call Jones various names resulting in him being stabbed this morning at about 08:15hrs.

The convicted murderer was escorted to the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation (GPHC), where he is receiving medical treatment.

Elliot noted that the matter was reported to the Police, and an investigation has since been launched.
