The Guyana Olympic Association (GOA) has pledged a substantial financial contribution of $1,100,000 to support its national bodybuilding team as they gear up for the 52nd Central American & Caribbean Bodybuilding and Body Fitness Championships in St. Lucia, taking place from September 24 to 28. A nine-member squad will proudly represent Guyana at this prestigious event.

During a ceremony at Olympic House in Liliendaal, GOA President Godfrey Munroe handed over the sponsorship cheque to Roger Callender, the President of the Guyana Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation (GBBFF). This funding is designed to facilitate the team’s successful participation as they face off against some of the best bodybuilders in the region.

Last year, Guyana showcased its strength by hosting the 51st Central American and Caribbean (CAC) Bodybuilding Championships, where the nation clinched an impressive total of 27 medal; 11 gold, 9 silver, and 7 bronze.
