Fire at Skeldon Market in Region Six
A large section of the Skeldon Market located in East Berbice-Corentyne is currently on fire.
Reportedly, two supermarkets within the market structure have already been burnt to the ground, while the fire is still rapidly spreading.
Persons are attempting to save goods and items from their stalls.
Regional Chairman David Armogan told the BIG Smith News Watch that while the fire is still rapidly spreading, the RoseHall, Albion and New Amsterdam fire tenders are currently on scene trying to contain the blaze.
The origin of the fire is still unknown at this time.
