BREAKING: niece tells police she murdered Aunty Betty by herself

By Michael Jordan
First, she blamed two men in black clothing. Then she claimed that a man with whom she had a relationship murdered her 85-year-old grandmother.
Now, 37-year-old Roshanie Baldeo has told police that she alone bludgeoned and stabbed 85-year- old Sumintra Sawh last Monday, after the aunt discovered the niece had stolen her money.
Big Smith News Watch has learnt that Baldeo said her great aunt, known as ‘Auntie Betty’, discovered that her money was missing. She then confronted the niece, and this led to her murdering her aunt.
She claimed she has already spent the money.
Baldeo also admitted to inflicting injuries on herself.
The niece had also left a door in the bottom flat open after committing the crime.
Mrs. Sawh was said to have been highly security conscious and was not open to having strangers enter her premises.
Baldeo has reportedly told investigators that she decided to confess after her dead aunt “visited her in the lockups” and told her to “tell the truth.”
She is scheduled to appear in the Weldaad Magistrates’ Court today.
Nevertheless, police say that the man who she had implicated, Mohamed Saheed, remains “a person of interest” in the case. He lives next door to the victim and has reportedly not been seen since the murder.
Sumintra Sawh, known as ‘Aunty Betty,’ of Lot 131 Section B Bush Lot, was found dead on her blood-soaked bed shortly after 03.00 a.m. on Monday.
She had been stabbed at least six times: to the temples, forehead and back of the head.
The woman’s handbag, reportedly containing $350, 000, her pension book, national identification card, was said to be missing.
The great niece, who often sleeps at the residence, had first alleged that at around 3.00 a.m. on Monday, she was awakened by a man who placed a knife to her throat and demanded money.
The man allegedly took her out of her bedroom and she saw another man with Sawh in the elderly woman’s bedroom. She claimed that her captor took her to the bottom flat, tied her to a chair with ‘a sling’ and remained with her.
While under guard, the woman said she heard her great-aunt scream out “don’t kill my granddaughter.”
She said that the man who was with her great aunt eventually joined his accomplice in searching the bottom flat, before leaving via a northern door, which was open.
She had said she managed to untie herself and found Mrs. Sawh lying in a pool of blood on her bed. She then raised an alarm.
