The police received information about a phone-number that was actively being used by Lyken.

Shortly after, Lyken who was not initially at home, made contact with the police and he was told to visit the police station which he did just about one hour after.
While there, he was taken into custody and told of the offense for which he is wanted. Efforts are being made to have the suspect handed over to the police in Regional Division 4B who will conduct their investigations and into the matter and place the young man before the court.
Lyken is originally from 8th Street Diamond but moved away from the community after stabbing Leon Robertson and enlisted into the Guyana Defense Force.
