Bartica Man Remanded for Sexual Activity with a Child

Haniff Khan, a 42-year-old unemployed resident of Four Miles Housing Scheme, Bartica, has been remanded to prison after being charged with engaging in sexual activity with a child who is a family member.

Khan was arrested by police on July 1, 2025, following an investigation into the allegations.

He appeared at the Bartica Magistrate’s Court on Friday, July 4, before Magistrate Teriq Mohammed.

The accused pleaded not guilty to the charge. The matter has been adjourned to August 15, 2025, for continuation.
