Speaking with Big Smith News Watch this morning as he stood with his son and other residents on his bridge, homeowner 68-year-old Deopaul Omrow said that he was upstairs when he was alerted to the sparks coming from one of the fluorescent lamps in the lower flat of the building where his son was eating at the time.

“We had wan 2 feet lamp at the side of the house and this boy was eating food down stairs and he called me and tell me he smelling smoke and by the time I came downstairs, the whole place was in smoke then fire” Omrow told BIG Smith News Watch.

Nothing was saved from the burning building. Omrow explained that after the smoke and fire, he attempted to use a bucket to out the fire but that was unsuccessful and by the time the fire engine arrived, it was too late.

There was also some amount of damage to the side of a house which is located next to Omrow’s home. The occupants of that house were forced to remove themselves from the property as the heat coupled with the winds threatened that building also.

Omrow indicated that he is not sure of his next move but related that they were able to sleep at a nearby house last evening. It was him, his son, great-grand, and a daughter who lived in the now-destroyed home.
