“Chucky” murdered at Mowasie Landing

Police are investigating the death of a 33-year-old businessman at Mowasie Landing, Region Eight, in what is being treated as an alleged murder.
Dead is Godfrey Gill, also known as “Chucky,” of Mowasie Backdam.
Preliminary information indicates that Gill was in the vicinity of a shop at Mowasie Landing on Thursday, August 20, when a loud explosion was reportedly heard.
Gill was subsequently found lying motionless on the ground. An alarm was raised and the matter was reported to police.
Police ranks were dispatched to the remote location to conduct further investigations.
No arrest has been made so far, and investigations are continuing into the circumstances surrounding Gill’s death.
