President Dr. Irfaan Ali and Jamaican Prime Minister Dr. Andrew Holness on Thursday witnessed the signing of several Memoranda of Understanding aimed at deepening cooperation between Guyana and Jamaica.

The agreements were signed at State House by Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Hugh Todd and Jamaica’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, Kamina Johnson Smith.

The MOUs cover cooperation in agriculture, defence and security, financial services, and an amendment to the existing agreement on economic, technical and cultural cooperation.

Prime Minister Holness and his delegation are currently in Guyana on a two-day State Visit.
