Bushlot Fire: Multiple Buildings Reportedly Destroyed

– as Firefighters Battle Massive Blaze

A significant fire broke out on Bushlot Public Road, West Coast Berbice, causing substantial destruction.

According to reports, the blaze, which started at 18:03 hrs, has already engulfed and destroyed multiple buildings.

The Guyana Fire Service quickly responded, with the first unit arriving at the scene at 18:10 hrs.

Twenty firefighters are currently engaged in battling the fire, utilizing Water Tender #90 from Onverwagt, Water Tender #106 from Mahaica, and Water Tender #74 from New Amsterdam.

Despite the firefighters’ efforts to contain the blaze, the fire continues to pose a threat. Residents and commuters in the area are advised to exercise caution due to heavy smoke.
