Teen feared drowned after disappearing in Corentyne river

A 16-year-old youth from Number 60 Village, Corentyne, Berbice, is feared drowned after he reportedly disappeared in the Corentyne River on Monday.
The missing teen has been identified as Ritesh Balram, also known as “White Bai,” a former student of Tagore Memorial High School.
According to reports, Balram had gone swimming at the Golden Grove “Back Track” when he reportedly plunged into the Corentyne River. He has not been seen since.
Search efforts are ongoing as relatives and residents continue to hope for his safe recovery.
