Son remanded for killing mother at CI

24-Y-O Greedesh Ramkisoon has been charged with murdering his 55-Y-O mother.
Ramkissoon, a mason, of Lot 80 Cornelia Ida, Block “Y,” West Coast Demerara, was arrested on May 29, 2026, in relation to the alleged killing of his mother, Surujdai Kahrui, a supervisor of the same address.
The incident is reported to have occurred on May 28, 2026.
Ramkissoon appeared on Wednesday before Magistrate Rabindra Singh at the Leonora Magistrate’s Court, where the indictable charge of murder was read to him.
He was not required to enter a plea.
He was remanded to prison, and the matter was adjourned to August 7, 2026, for further proceedings.
