GPF Ranks Undergo Crisis Management Training

The Guyana Police Force (GPF), in partnership with the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office, has commenced a Crisis Management Training Programme aimed at enhancing the capacity of local law enforcement officers to respond effectively in high-pressure situations.
The training, which officially launched on Monday, August 18, 2025, at the Officers’ Training Centre on Camp Road, Georgetown, has brought together 58 ranks from the Tactical Services Unit (TSU).
On Tuesday, sessions continued at the Police Sports Club Ground, Eve Leary, where participants engaged in a series of practical exercises under the guidance of trainers from the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office. The programme is designed to strengthen the operational readiness of the GPF and ensure officers are well-prepared to manage crises and maintain public safety.
This collaboration underscores the GPF’s commitment to modernizing its training approaches and fostering international partnerships to improve policing standards in Guyana.
