With weigh-ins kicking off today, the countdown to an explosive showdown on Saturday night has begun!
Adding to the drama, the legendary Sebert Blake, a 3-Star boxing coach, is making a triumphant return! He’s back in the ring to assist the Forgotten Youth Foundation Gym in their quest for glory, raising the stakes even higher. Correia emphasizes that Blake’s presence underscores the fierce competitiveness of this tournament and the serious commitment from all participating gyms.
Watch out for the Guyana Defence Force (GDF), the reigning champions and undisputed titans of local amateur boxing! Correia boldly declares them the team to beat, having dominated with multiple titles under their belt.
Joining the fray are heavyweight contenders like the Guyana Police Force, Andrew ‘Six-Head’ Lewis Boxing Gym, New Amsterdam Boxing Academy, Rose Hall Jammers, Pace and Power Gym, and Harpy Eagles.
