GAS STATION BOMBING “I guess that was God” Attendant who prevent bomb being placed into bin

October 28, 2025
Stacy [not her real name], the female pump attendant who stopped a terrorist from placing a bomb into a garbage bin at the Mobil Fuel Service Station on Sunday, October 26, 2025, said that her presence at work that night, her posture, alertness, and actions were acts of God. She said she was not supposed to be working Sunday night.
In an exclusive interview with BIG Smith News Watch on Tuesday afternoon, the employee said her day started as a normal one when she arrived at work for the 06:00 am to 02:00 pm shift on Sunday morning.
According to her, when the time approached for her to end her shift, a co-worker called in sick. This prompted the supervisor to ask her to carry the absent co-worker’s shift. This was despite another co-worker wanting to take up the shift.
It was later in the evening, when Stacy was at her pump station sitting, that she felt a weight over her shoulder and looked around to see the terrorist attempting to place a bulky garbage bag into the trash bin right next to her.
‘Stacy’ objected to that, and the man insisted, and she raised her voice at him. At that point, he walked and said something to her in Spanish as he headed towards the storeroom area.
According to her, she kept watching him as he walked off, wanting to see where he would put the bag. Unfortunately, a customer came to her pump, and that distracted her.
Moments after, approximately 30 minutes later, ‘Stacy’ was communicating with her co-worker, who said she saw a garbage bag at her station. It was while having that conversation that the bomb went off.
“I am happy that I worked that double and could have saved a lot of people,” she noted. ” I will always remember this,” she told the publisher of BIG Smith News Watch, Leroy Smith.
At the end of the interview, the pump attendant was presented with a bouquet and a thank-you card from the team at BIG Smith News Watch. Roraima Group of Companies will be providing her with a trip for two to Kaieteur Falls and Arrowpoint Nature Resort. Suree products has committed a donation of two hundred thousand Guyana Dollars, and businessman Shahab Hack will provide her with a beauty care package.
