24-Y-O Charged with Inflicting Grievous Bodily Harm

Michael Rambaran, a 24-year-old resident of the East Coast of Demerara, was charged on Monday, June 16, 2025, with inflicting grievous bodily harm on Akbar Hussain, 45.

 

The incident allegedly occurred on May 30, 2025, at Vigilance, East Coast Demerara.

 

Following an investigation, Rambaran was arrested and brought before the Vigilance Magistrate’s Court, where he appeared before Senior Magistrate Sunil Scarce.

 

During his court appearance, Rambaran entered a not guilty plea to the charge.

 

He was granted bail in the sum of G$150,000.

 

The matter has been adjourned to a later date as investigations continue.
