58-Y-O Gold Miner Charged with Illegal Ammunition Possession

May 8, 2025 – A 58-year-old gold miner from Five Star Backdam, North West District, has been charged with illegal possession of ammunition.

Desmond Jacobs appeared before the Port Kaituma Magistrate’s Court where the charge was read to him. He pleaded not guilty.

Jacobs was granted bail in the sum of G$100,000 and is expected to return to court on September 13, 2025, when the matter will be called again.
