The Guyana Prison Service has issued a press statement addressing false information circulating on social media about the welfare of remanded prisoner Shaquawn Alleyne, also known as ISWE Boss. Contrary to the rumors, Alleyne is alive and well in prison.

Upon noticing the misleading post, the Officer-in-Charge facilitated a phone call for Alleyne to reassure his family of his safety. Additionally, Alleyne’s lawyer was contacted to inform them of his well-being.

The Director of Prisons has urged the public to refrain from spreading false information about the welfare of prisoners. Such misinformation can cause unnecessary fear and anxiety among prisoners and their families.

The Guyana Prison Service remains committed to the safety and welfare of all individuals in their custody.
