Preliminary reports indicate that the Lorry was traveling south along High Street when the collision occurred.

Ms. Williams, who was crossing the street reportedly ran into the path of the oncoming vehicle while she was in the center of the street.

The impact of the collision resulted in Ms. Williams being dragged a considerable distance from the point of impact, resulting in fatal injuries to her body.

Despite the efforts of Emergency Medical Technicians, Ms. Williams was pronounced dead at the scene.

Her body has been transferred to the Memorial Gardens Mortuary, where it awaits a postmortem examination to determine the exact cause of death.

Following standard protocol, a breathalyzer test was administered to the 24-year-old driver, revealing a blood alcohol concentration (BAC) of .00%.

The driver remains in custody assisting with the investigations.
