Earlier today, the US Ambassador to Guyana, Ms. Nicole Theriot, along with the Regional Security Officer (RSO), Mr. Mayah Shih, paid a courtesy visit to Commissioner of Police Mr. Clifton Hicken at his office in Eve Leary, Georgetown.

Commissioner Hicken was accompanied by members of his Executive Leadership Team (ELT).

The meeting was characterized by a warm atmosphere and focused discussions on the training strategies aimed at the development of the Guyana Police Force.

There was a particular emphasis on maintaining professionalism within the force, fostering ongoing collaboration with the Embassy, and working towards achieving international accreditation standards.

The discussions underscored the mutual commitment shared by both parties to enhance law enforcement capabilities and strengthen the existing ties between the Guyana Police Force and the US Embassy.

It served as a reaffirmation of the collaborative efforts aimed at ensuring the safety and security of the nation.
