Azruddin entered politics because ‘you the people ask him’- Hana Mohamed

Anan Mohamed, the sister of We Invest in Nationhood’s (WIN) Presidential Candidate Azruddin Mohamed, on Tuesday told a rally in Region Three that her brother entered politics because he was asked to do so by the electorate.

She said her brother has worked hard to achieve success, and while the family does not deny who they are (speaking to their wealth), the mission is to ensure that success is not just reserved for a few but is spread across Guyana.

“Now, many of you may have heard the constant attacks on my brother, Mr. Azruddin Mohamed, the PPP tries to paint him as someone seeking power, driven by selfish ambitions but the truth is, my brother is not doing this for power, my brother is not doing this for money… he has enough money, he is doing this because you the people called on him”- Hana Mohamed.

She used the platform to make reference to the Carter Center Report, which slammed the government for what it terms the misuse of public resources to aid its campaign for reelection to office. She said the report is timely and proves that the entire world is watching Guyana.

Hana said their party has been stifled by the ruling PPP and is unable to use local airlines and public spaces for travel and hosting of their political rallies. The party’s rally in Region 3 on Thursday night was held on private property.

“Why is the PPP so scared? I will tell you why, its because they know the truth, have lost the trust of the people, they have lost the confidence of the working man, the single mother, the farmer the teacher, the youth who cannot find opportunities …they have lost their support and they know it, and as sure as night follows day, they are going to loose this election. They are afraid because for the first time in a long time, the power is shifting back to you… The people, the power is shifting back to you, the power is yours,”  Hana Mohamed told the gathering.

According to the sister of the presidential candidate, no one is perfect, but the nation can be assured that Azrddin Mohamed is present and also shows up as she called on Region 3 to show up for a man who always shows up when he is called upon.

Azruddin Mohamed was not at the rally on Tuesday but rather at another public meeting in Sophia, according to his sister.
