Teon Allen’s car which was torched. It is also said this vehicle was also captured on CCTV footage on the night of the shooting at the ‘Mob Family’ place

A turf war between two gangs in the police ‘E’ Division, Linden has reached the point where the name of a senior police detective stationed there is being called and which has now prompted an internal police investigation. In fact, both gangs are accusing the detective of being an ally of their rival.

On Thursday morning a senior police officer at Force headquarters Even Leary confirmed that the police detective was by way of letter ordered to hand over his get out of the police division.

The ‘Mob Family’ which is based in Linden but travels to Cayenne frequently is known to be distributing a number of illegal substances including ecstasy, mostly in Linden. The other gang is said to be headed by an ex-policeman whose name was given as Teon Allen called ‘spoil child’

This composite photo shows Allen and two prison escapees back in 2017 who he was charged for harboring

Allen was arrested and charged for possession of arms and ammunition which were found in a house at John Street Campbellville in 2017 along with other and was also the subject of a police investigation after he was accused of harboring and aiding ex-policeman and prison escapees Uree Varswyck and Royden Williams back in 2017 also.

Recently ‘Spoil Child’ gang reportedly took away some drugs from retailers of the ‘Mob Family’ gang and that caused tensions to rise. As a retaliation, the ‘Mob Family’ attempted to torch the home of Allen.

Allen then contacted the senior detective and another corporal and they reportedly went together to the location where the ‘Mob Family’ operates in Linden under the guise of a police intelligence operation but came under fire.

The ‘Mob Family’ then went into hiding but subsequently were seen walking freely in the community, much to the amusement of residents.

This reportedly enraged Allen who took it upon himself to go and shoot up the home of a senior relative of the ‘Mob Family’ while the ‘mob’ was back in Cayenne. The police in ‘E’ Division reportedly treated the matter lightly and the office of the Commissioner of Police was informed of the development by persons associated to the ‘Mob Family.

Certain information which also implicated the detective was shared with the Commissioner’s Office and a decision was made to get the Major Crimes Unit involved and the team traveled to the Division and within hours, a wanted bulletin was issued for the ex-policeman Teon Allen called ‘spoil child’ on September 4, 2019

While the police release only said that he was wanted in connection with attempted murder, no mentioned was of the shooting incident. On Monday September 9, Teon Allen turned himself into the police, and like the persons associated with the ‘Mob Family’ who traveled to the Commissioner’s office, Allen also implicated the police detective as an associate of him who switched allegiance to the ‘Mob Family’

Hours after Allen turned himself over to the police, his vehicle was torched while parked at a location at One Mile Wismar, Linden. We were told that during the process of the car being torched, agents of Allen’s gang were tipped off and they raced to the location where shots were fired and a young man was shot to the arm.

The police from the Major Crimes Unit has also arrested two young men from Linden who they said has been selling marijuana in the community of Linden on behalf of the Teon Allen.
