28-Year-Old Tasina Dazzel of Lot 46, Ujamma Housing Scheme LBI, East Coast Demerara is the latest woman to be murdered by her spouse.

On Friday night, Dazzel dropped dead on her bridge as she was escaping the abusive hands of her reputed husband. It turned out, Dazzel was stabbed multiple times by 36-Year Old Quincy Roache.

Police sources indicated that Dazzel and Roche have been together for sometime and based on what known, Tasina Dazzel suffered constant blows at the hands of Roache.

A cousin of the deceased woman explained that they are neighbours and that she was awoken by the screams of her cousin.

The cousin explained that when she opened her door, she saw Dazzel running out of her yard and fell on her bridge motionless.

Shortly after Dazzel fell on the bridge, Roache exited the house, joined a minibus and escaped from the scene.

He however later turned himself over to the police at Turkeyne.
