17-Y-O among missing MV Barima passengers

Claivellyz Fraser, a 17-year-old resident of Port Kaituma, Region One, is among the passengers who were onboard the distressed MV Barima, which sank off the coast of Essequibo between July 18 and 19, 2026, while on a voyage from Georgetown to Port Kaituma.
Her mother, Claudia Fraser, told BIG Smith News Watch that her daughter had travelled to Georgetown to uplift documents from the Guyana Revenue Authority (GRA) and was returning home to Port Kaituma when she boarded the vessel.
Fraser is pleading for her daughter’s safe return and is appealing for any information that could assist in locating her.
